FPS drop in Iphone 13 pro max

Why am I having fps drop in playing games such as pubg new state in Iphone 13 pro max? I tried downloading games that have 90 to 120 available fps but then when you click it to 90 or 120 fps the fps does not change, it is still on 60 FRAME RATE PER SECOND!!!! Is this limit of the new A15 bionic chip? Just how?

same here. I play apex legends and even on a not so fps heavy game like mobile legends i'm experiencing a lot of frame drops (sometimes I feel like it goes below 60 fps) and overheating too. i'm new to apple products so I got the 13 pro max thinking nothing would go wrong since it's one of the most powerful phone in the market but it's really disappointing so far.

i’m very old apple user now i’m totally disappointed with iPhone 13 pro max

when i play BGMI i get the lowest FPS on 90 FPS it feels like i’m playing in 20-30 FPS the toch response is not much faster as usual on earlier iPhone models

I request apple to give us an update for all iPhone13pro max users to fix the issue!

else it’s not worth buying an iPhone of 130K INR to get 30 FPS while gaming

Hi agape099,

You'll want to make sure that the app with this issue is fully updated. The steps below show how, if needed:

"How to manually update apps on your iPhone or iPadOpen the App Store.Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.iPhone showing a list of available updates for 5 different apps.Learn what to do if you can't update an app on your iPhone or iPad."

Those steps are from this article: How to manually update apps on your Apple device - Apple Support

To help us understand this better, can you tell us if this is only happening in PUBG New State or does it appear to be multiple apps? Does this happen when using the app on Wi-Fi, mobile data, or both? Your answers can determine possible next steps.

Take care.

Anybody still having problems with their 13 pro max when playing games like pubg codm

and other 90-120fps games? I play cod mobile at ultra frames so its 90 or 120fps but while in game it does some crazy fps drop from like smooth 90-120fps to 40-50fps. Any fix to this? Hope that ios 16 is going to fix this

I’m also having FPS problems with my 13 Pro Max, 256gb variant. When I’m playing Call of Duty Mobile my phone will drop frames, most of the time below 60 FPS. I never tried using a higher graphics quality in the game, I only set mine to Low Graphics Quality with Maximum frame rates. Even so i still get around 45-50 FPS, when i’m streaming it’s even worse dropping to 30-15 FPS. Wasn’t expecting the current best iPhone to performe that way. I hope this will be addressed soon since i play in a competitive manner.
