You should definitely update to the latest Dropbox software as Apple will be enforcing changes that will impact Dropbox and OneDrive and likely other cloud storage sync services. After macOS 12.3 is released those applications will need to be updated to continue working. Some functionality will be lost. The extension being referred to is called a kernel extension and Apple is preventing developers from using kernel extensions with macOS 12.3+. Apple has been warning developer that this change was coming for several years.

You do not need to deal with this until Apple releases macOS 12.3, the latest production version is 12.2.1 and the 12.3 is currently in beta. Dropbox states they have a beta version to test with macOS 12.3.
