iPad Pro Storage

I recently got 512GB iPad Pro and when I check my iCloud storage in it it shows only 5GB.

Your iPad has 512 GB storage (you said); iCloud is internet based storage and Apple gives you 5 GB free of charge - you can pay to get more. That has nothing at all to do with your ipad storage.
