I don’t know why but out of nowhere i got a suspicious text come to my phone saying “your apple id code is..” and i think someone might be trying to log into my apple id.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities.
That may have been a phishing attempt: Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support.
However, regardless, I'd review: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support.

Secure your Info:
If concerned for account access, then (A.) verify your devices, and (B.)secure your account:

A. Verify your Devices:
Verify that all devices are logged in to your account, by using this link: Check your Apple ID Device List to See where you're Signed in - Apple Support
then...
B. Modify your Credentials:
Having been stollen, someone lily has your credentials. So, by all means, modifying them.
Either someone attempted to log in using your Apple ID on another device OR it is a scam text. Either way, do not interact with it since YOU did not initiate the log in.
