Iphone not connecting hotspot via usb

I recently upgraded from an iphone 7 plus to an iphone 12 pro max and i'm trying to connect to my windows pc via usb how I used to do it but now it doesn't work. It shows that its connected on my iphone in the top left corner, but there is no internet (it works fine on the phone). I have the newest iTunes installed and signed in aswell. Please help.
