This is my first post after using EtreCheck. The attached report has been generated by EtreCheck. After an app crash, crash of Monterey follows. I am hopeful that those at Apple will review this report. I am a newbie when it comes to understanding some of these reports. Report:
"CleanMyMac" claims another victim.
The installation and use of non-Apple "cleaning" products is by far the most popular way of ruining perfectly good Macs. "CleanMyMac" is just one example. It happens to be the most successful, presumably due to their extremely aggressive marketing practices.
I rather doubt you would allow some third party product to determine which parts of your code were "dirty" and needed "cleaning" but that's how those things work.
Actually, I was concerned about CleanMyMac being the cause. It kept suggesting a “deep clean” and with reluctance I did that. I have had no system crash since, but had one crash that was a result of a typo in my code. I appreciate the rapid response. Is this a common problem with CleanMyMac?
Repeated crashes especially when using Anaconda apps such as Spyder
