Can i delete one of my apps to download the new software update and then download the app that i deleted again

I was wondering if i can delete one of my apps so i can update the new software and then reinstall the app that i deleted

Yes, if it's still available in the App Store. Note that this won't preserve its data.

Why would you delete the app in the first place if you are going to download and install again after the update?

Because i have low storage and it wont let me install the software update
