When trying to purchase something on my apple TV, the confirm using device option pops up. When I try clicking on that I get no verification on my iphone to continue. My phone and apple tv are both signed into the same apple id and are both on the same network.

Ensure bluetooth is enabled

Then the box wouldn’t be running tvOS 15 or later, and I think this feature wouldn’t be available anyway? You can always confirm manually or order on your iPhone. Else contact the support staff.
I verifed 4th gen Apple TV and iPhone 13 both on same network and IOS 15.
Ended up giving up, went into username settings on Apple TV.
Under Settings selected Users and Accounts then (user).
Then under Require Password selected Purchases and then NEVER.
Had to enter password to do that's the last time I'm doing that.
its not working for me either. I’m signed in both my iPhone and appletv with same Apple ID and it’s not popping up on my phone to confirm purchase. I’m running on a 3rd gen Apple TV and iPhone 13 using iOS 15.3. Pretty annoying!
I am on 15.3 tvOS so maybe it’s a 4th or 5th gen. So my iPhone 13 should have a purchase confirmation pop up but nothing happens.
