Contact has more than one cell, I wanted to distinguish which one.
Now custom labels is gone
Now can only have one cell per contact.
Work around is what???? Create a separate contact for each cell using the same name but containing an ID label in the contacts name?????

I have an iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 15.3.1. I have no trouble creating a custom label for a phone number. Do you have a work email or other Exchange mail account on the device? Are you using iCloud for your Contacts?

Not only is “custom labels” not gone (assuming you house your Contacts in iCloud), but there are also many other choices that are not custom.
