Cannot upgrade MacBook Air (M1, 2020) from Big Sur to Monterey
I'm on Big Sur 11.6 (20G165) and try to upgrade my MacBook Air (M1, 2020) to Monterey. The upgrade downloads and then fails with:
"Installation cannot proceed because the installer is damaged. Redownload the installer and try again."
After reading online I've tried the following things:
- Remove the installer from "Applications" and redownloaded it (on wifi)
- Remove the installer from "Applications" and redownloaded it (on ethernet, directly connected to the router)
- Started the MacBook in "Safe mode", and redownloaded the installer (on wifi)
- Started the MacBook in "Safe mode", and redownloaded the installer (on ethernet, directly connected to the router)
- Downloaded the installer using https://github.com/corpnewt/gibMacOS
I have no VPN in use, I have enough empty disk space (around 100GB), I have no Antivirus running.
I cannot believe that I cannot download a 12 GB file without it being corrupt. So something else is going on and I cannot seem to find out what.
I would appreciate any additional help.
Thanks a lot!
MacBook Air (2020 or later)
