Touch Screen and Side Button Not Working

Since about 2 weeks ago, I had issues with the touch screen, which would immediately be solved by just turning my phone off and turning it back on. As time progressed, it started happing more frequently, and I had to repeatedly press the side button to turn it on and off before it would start working again. I searched up how to fix this problem and one of the few solutions was to restart my iPhone. Nothing changed by doing so. Out of annoyance, I restarted it once again, and this time the touch screen doesn't respond at all. Because I had restarted my phone, I am unable to unlock my phone using Face ID, access Siri, let a lone use Voice Control. The two solutions that seem to be available to me in this situation is to factory reset it or take it to a store. I'm reluctant to proceed with the first one because I'm not entirely sure what and how much data hasn't been backed up. Is there a way to solve the issue without a factory reset that I am unaware of? Or must I visit a store? My protective screen, phone case, and all accessories have been remove, by the way.

Greetings, mkim0320.

From your description, it appears that you’ve already completed the following steps:

If your phone doesn't turn on, follow these steps to check your hardware and charge your phone. You might need to charge for up to an hour.” If your iPhone won't turn on or is frozen

Since the issue persists, it’s best to Contact Apple Support.

Concerning not knowing if your data is secure, you can locate your backups:

“Search for the backup folder on your MacTo find a list of your backups:Click the magnifier  in the menu bar.Type or copy and paste this: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/Press Return.Select the Backup folder under Folders.

"Find and manage backups stored in iCloudIf you use iCloud Backup, you won't find a list of your backups on iCloud.com. Here's how to find your iCloud backups on your iOS or iPadOS device, Mac, or PC.On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud.Tap Manage Storage, then tap Backups.Tap a backup to see more details about it, choose which information to back up, or delete the backup."Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

We hope this helps!

Best wishes.
