Apple Maps defaulting to transit

I uninstalled it. Changed in settings. Nothing worked. So I found the solution. On the image attached, upper right hand corner is a symbol to select map type. Select car or what ever you want. Saw the thread here and went to reply with an answer but it wasn’t an option so I made the post

Apple Maps Defaults to Transit Directions on iPhone I have checked the Apple Maps preferences/settings and "Driving" is the selected preference on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. But on my iPhone Apple Maps always defaults to "Transit" directions, on the Mac and iPad it defaults to "Driving". Any ideas how to fix? I have a 12 Pro Max and I'm on iOS 16.0.

google maps making carplay lag I have been using google maps to connect to my KIA carplay. The maps will work fine for about 2 minutes then my map lags. My car is ahead of were Google Maps thinks I am by about a minute. This also happens with Waze. It also makes switching over to other car play apps extremely slow almost not possible. If I use Apple Maps this doesn't happen but I don't like the Apple Maps. I've reset my phone connections. Deleted the saved car from CarPlay. All my location settings have been reset and updated. My service coverage is good in the areas. Also, all apps and Iphone are updated to the latest versions. Google maps worked great until about 2 weeks ago. Any ideas or is Apple just hating on Google Maps

Apple CarPlay Lag My maps in Apple CarPlay start lagging once I start driving. The maps are like a mile behind where I actually am. I drive a Kia k5 2023. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
