Airplaying downloaded shows

Why can’t i Airplay downloaded shows from Netflix or Amazon Prime on my Apple TV ?!

You can’t download the shows on your Apple TV so what are you supposed to do when the Internet goes down (I live in South Africa for context, it happens … alot).

Netflix stopped supporting AirPlay in Spring 2019. That was their decision, as any content provider may choose to do so.
For Prime Video, at present, the playback of downloaded content over AirPlay (or Chromecast) isn’t permitted. That is their decision.
