Dell 1703FP display not working as should with Mac mini

Dell 1703FP display not working as should with Mac mini. I have this older Dell monitor connected to the mini with a HDMI to DVI cable.

It works fine until you switch of the computer and next boot it. see both pics.

Any idea as to how to fix this? Or is this a Dell anti Apple conspiracy?

Mac mini 2018 or later

When you have issues with another vendor's display, the first place to start is with Dell's customer service. It is their product and they know it far better than anyone here can.

Agreed, however they do no longer support this model.

I just connected to an other Mac mini I have (2013 model) and here it functions flawlessly. Any ideas?
