Apple Music can not connect

Each time I try to add a song to my library or playlist I get a can not connect message. iPhone is up to date

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the alert you're seeing when trying to add a song to your library from Apple Music. If you haven't already, restart your iPhone to see if fresh connections help with this alert: Restart your iPhone


If that doesn't help, complete all steps from the following guide as they should help: If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services


Some additional steps are:


  • Try while using a different Wi-Fi network to help rule out a network issue.
  • If you use a VPN or security software, temporarily disable it as they block connections. If that helps, reach out to those app developers to look into this: How to contact an app developer
