I already checked this webpage, it was last Published Date: November 30, 2020 and i came to know in 2021 manufactured models or customized models with 16GM RAM may contain such series, wanted to confirm that .
Well, One of the apple authorized resellers in India told me , customized models with 16GB has Z* series.
So, may I know if you answer is official from apple , then I should be worried about my purchase.
It’s official e commerce portal like Amazon.com in india called Flipkart.com where I bought MacBook Air 2020 model which has part number starts with Z* series.
I crossed checked in a physical apple reseller store ( as no apple physical stores in India ) an employee there told , 16GB is customised models so it carries z* series.
I will receive in a couple of days , I hope I can check from an apple website it’s authenticity like we check iPhone IMEI number .

The model numbers will remain the same, despite when they may be manufactured.
The Apple article above makes no mention of any model number starting with Z.
All model numbers start with MG.
He's trying too "sell" you on something.
Is MacBook air M1 model number Z124J006KD is guanine ? I see it starts with MG* in Apple website.
