What are best charging practices & equipment for iPhone 7-Plus?

I just had a new OEM battery put in my old iPhone 7-Plus. I haven't had any big problems except as the battery was dying, I was always needing to help it with a Battery Block that I kept in my pocket.

My old way of life for years has been to plug it in as I went to sleep, into a USB adapter in the wall that says 5.0 Volt / 1.3 Amp.

Is that a bad thing to do? It seems like it didn't kill the battery too soon by letting it charge repeatedly to 100% and then stay connected for hours every night for years.

I have read that if I would instead charge that Battery Block (which holds about 4 phone charges) and use it to recharge the iPhone as I slept, that they're designed to stop charging the phone at 80%.

I just don't know if I have the patience to mess around like that. 😉

So, if I want to only charge the phone & I'm willing to do it when I'm awake and use the BATTERY app to tell me when it's been charged to whatever I set it at (80% or 90%?), what Watt Adapter would I want to get for my 7-Plus? The 110 Volt one of mine that I use the most says DC 5Volt-1.3Amp and it's pretty slow.

I've read that iPhone 8 starting having some Fast Charge setting but not my 7-Plus.

I just read this at this link. I'll assume it's correct or at least hope that it is and move on with life plugging my iPhone in to recharge as I sleep every night.

This new OEM battery (2,900 mAh?) is a dream. 👍

When to charge your iPhone or iPad - Apple Community

Charge whenever you want to, for as long as you want to. There's no reason to let the device drain completely before charging (in fact, it's a bad idea to do that on a regular basis), and there's no need to wait until it reaches 100% before removing it from the power source. You can charge when it's at 40% and disconnect when it reaches 80%, or any other values, without hurting the phone. And you don't have to turn it OFF to charge it; in fact, you shouldn’t. And you can leave it plugged in while using it if you want to.

The Best Practice, however, is to charge the phone overnight, every night. As it stops automatically at 100% you can't overcharge it doing this. You thus start the day with a fully charged phone.

Also, if you configure the iPhone for automatic backup using iTunes or iCloud, the phone will back up every night when it has a WiFi connection and is asleep.

Oops I goofed by mixing up Watts and Amps. I really don't know much about this type stuff but my original posting won't let me Edit this in.

I've found sites discussing charging rates & adapters for all of the iPhones. I see lots of different Watt adapters on Amazon and I'm thinking that maybe I could buy a couple.

I haven't read your suggestions yet Rudegar but in playing around, I've noticed that my Battery Block is 25% faster at charging my iPhone if I use my short 4" long Lightning cord than if I either plug my 24" long, thick Lightning cord or my 4" long Lightning cord into that same 110v adapter which says Output 5.0 Volts 1.5 Watts.

That Battery app shows the charging rate (Amps) after it's been running for a few minutes and has raised the battery charge a % or 2. Here's what it showed me while using the 110v adapter:

and here's what it showed me while using the Battery Block:
