Missing something?

Whenever I try to download apps from the internet such as spotify, my mac has no program to open it in. I have erased my whole mac because of a virus. How do i get the missing program again?

If you got the program off the App Store, you can look at the App Store for Upgrades, and Purchases to redownload it.

If you got the program from off the App Store, find the vendor who made the software in question. It would help to know what program you are missing.

Many sites like facebook use an App when on your phone, to keep your session under control.


Since the Mac has a much larger environment with more compute and graphics power, and far more RAM memory and file storage, it may not need an App. You just go to the site with any Web Browser.


In the specific case fo Spotify, it looks like you can use a Web Browser to get to their site, then there are links to download an App, if desired.
