When I search something it tells me the closest location as Columbus Ohio, but I live in TN. How do I correct this

You are not being hacked. Your location services is pulling information that may be inaccurate based on Wi-Fi, GPS, or some other factor. For example, I'll often get a location the next town over, but from time to time I get a location that is the corporate HQ of my cellular provider, likely because data is being pulled about cell tower location from a database with an error.

Geolocation by IP address is only roughly accurate, and and best considered accurate to be within the same country.
It both costs more for ISPs to have and to provide accurate IP address geolocation data, and better accuracy puts you and all of us at higher risk of problems as the geolocation accuracy is increased. Thefts, robberies, abusive exes, stalkers, all benefit from better accuracy.
It’s routine to see several states’ distance away around here, and also to see an iPhone or iPad or Mac mis-identified in a login notification message both due to IP geolocation inaccuracy (which is good) and due to work Apple is doing to better anonymize user tracking (which is good).
Thank you. That eases my mind.
