MAGIC KEYBOARD WON’T TYPE

It is a little frustrating to have my keyboard stop responding when trying to write an email or any other function. Are the magic keyboards defective? I have been trying to research this issue for months, does anyone have answers to correct this issue?

Sure turning my iPad Pro off and on helps, but sometimes this happens at times where I really need to finish what I am doing rather than turning it off and on.

HELP!
