iPad unavailable, device timed out when trying to extend display on Mac OS Monterey
Trying to use the simple function of extending the display from an M1 Max Macbook Pro running Mac OS Monterey to an M1 iPad Pro running iPadOS 15 and constantly getting iPad unavailable, device timed out error. Have tried the following:
- rebooting each device (obviously)
- making sure each device is signed into the same iCloud account
- resetting location and privacy settings on iPad
- ensuring handoff on both devices is on
- ensuring handoff on both devices is off
- removing obselete iCloud devices
This feature simply won't work on $6k worth of equipment. Really don't want to have to reinstall everything as new because...why should I? They were both set up from new.
Is there anything else I can try before booking a "genius" appointment..
