Many applications start up much too slowly

Hi everyone,

I use an  iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2019), iMac Model: iMac19,2, 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3 (i3-8100) CPU: 4-core, 16 GB RAM.

Many of my applications take too long (up to two minutes) to start. E.g., when starting MS Word, the icon on the bottom jumps 40 - 60 times, then MS Word still takes another half minute until it is ready for use.

I add my recent EtreCheck report.

I already booted into recovery mode and ran First Aid - though no problems were reported.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
