Hi! Is there a way to recover text messages from a few months ago? I’m pretty sore they were not part of my iCloud back up until most recently. I’ve always paid additional money for iCloud storage. I tried googling it, but searches all came up with apps that you could buy. I was hoping maybe there was another way.

If you have a device backup that includes the message(s), and you do NOT use messages in iCloud, you can erase your device and restore it using your backup. You lose anything newer since the backup was made.
