macbook pro and optoma projector solution

Im trying to connect a macbook pro with M1pro chip to optoma HD146X. Via HDMI port. Its not detecting it.

Connecting MacBook Air with M1 Chip to Projector I am having a hard time connecting my MacBook Air with the M1 chip to a projector in a classroom. My Macbook with the Intel chip connects easily. Is there something different with this new computer? I am using an adapter. The cord from the projector is VGA with an adaptor to HDMI.

Hey shahiroz,

If the MacBook Pro won't detect the projector, take a look over the tips here:

If your external display isn't detected or appears blurry on your Mac

Another thing to confirm is if the projector will work with only a HDMI cable or if it also requires connection via USB. You may need to reach out to Optoma for confirmation on that particular.
