Using Apple TV Remote to Control Bose SMART Soundbar 300

Hello, I attempted to train my Apple TV Remote with the remote from my new Bose Smart Soundbar 300. The Apple TV told me that there was no signal. Could the remote for the Bose Soundbar be RF or Bluetooth? Not sure how to check this.

If your Apple TV 4K, TV and Bose soundbar are configured correctly, you shouldn't need to train your remote to use IR signals (that's kind of a fall-back option for older equipment). Volume/Mute and Power should all work automatically by way of HDMI's Consumer Electronics Control standard. Another benefit is that you'll be able to control volume from your iPhone/iPad's ATV Remote.

You should check each component's menus and enable HDMI CEC (and all things auto-HDMI-related :-). Here's the Apple Support blurb on how to do it on the ATV4K side: If you can't control your TV or receiver with your Apple TV Remote.
