Will Apple Carplay and Airplay 2 work simultaneously to play music in my car?
If my iPhone is connected to CarPlay through USB and an Airport Express 2nd gen is connected to my personal mobile hotspot and hooked up to a separate portable speaker (assuming it will have power), will I be able to play music from all speakers?

To play audio on multiple devices from your iPhone, both devices would need to be AirPlay 2 enabled.
You can also choose playback destinations from the iPhone screen.
1. Tap the AirDrop icon in Control Center, on the Lock Screen, or on the Now Playing screen for the app you’re listening to.
2. Select each device you want to use.
