Update Apple ID settings

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. Our recommendation is to sign out of your Apple ID on your iMac and to sign back in. From there, you can test and see if you continue to experience the same behavior.

To sign out with your Apple ID account on your Mac, you can follow these steps:

1. Go to the menu bar and select the Apple icon in the far left upper corner.
2. Select System Preferences > Apple ID > Overview > Sign Out.

From there, please sign back in with your Apple ID account and see if that helps.

Are you using a VPN on your device, on your router, or access point?

Also, do you have a different Apple device that is signed in to the same Apple ID?

If yes, are you experiencing a similar issue with your other device?
