Android and Mac OS simply do not work together over Bluetooth. Preferences are correct. Sharing is ON. Bluetooth is ON...
Galaxy 9+ and Macbook Air see each other and claim to be connected, but files cannot be sent from phone to Mac. Other people are having this problem too, but no real help is to be had. It's as if Apple doesn't want it to work, because there is nothing but "pretend" instructions anywhere. Bluetooth between Android and Mac OS IS BROKEN AND DOES NOT WORK. Yes, you can make file transfers work with a 3rd party app, but it's clunky, and requires a cable. That is not the same and not good enough.
Would someone please tell us how to fix this or at least let us know if we should just give up and get on with our lives? LOL! Help us!!!
