NTFS for MAC error
After installing this update, my NTFS for Mac doesn't works. Why?
I gave it full disk access in Security/Privacy, but it sees my drives only in read mode. Cannot mount.

Now Paragon has replied too (support email). Looks like they will not provide an update, and will instead wait for Apple to fix it in a next macOS update....
After the latest macOS 10.15.7 Catalina Security Update 2022-003 (19H1824),
issues have been reported with mounting NTFS volumes using the NTFS for
Mac driver. The Development team were able to reproduce and confirm the
issue. We expect it to be fixed in the next macOS updates.
For now, the following workaround can be tried:
1) Make sure you're using Microsoft NTFS for Mac by Paragon Software build 15.9.314
It can be downloaded from the ParagonBox user portal if you have a license registered there or directly from the site:
https://www.paragon-software.com/home/ntfs-mac/
Be sure to uninstall any previous versions as described below:
https://kb.paragon-software.com/article/4500
2) Connect the drive containing the NTFS partition, and make sure the partition is not mounted.
3) Open the Terminal utility (Application -> Utilities -> Terminal) and perform the following command to create a mountpoint:
sudo mkdir /Volumes/ntfs
4) Run the following command:
diskutil list
and note the NTFS partition (disk0s3, for instance)
5) Run the following command to mount it:
sudo /Library/Filesystems/ufsd_NTFS.fs/Contents/Resources/mount_ufsd_NTFS
/dev/diskXsY /Volumes/ntfs
where diskXsY - the NTFS partition from the previous step
(for instance)
sudo /Library/Filesystems/ufsd_NTFS.fs/Contents/Resources/mount_ufsd_NTFS
/dev/disk0s3 /Volumes/ntfs
You sure it doesn't mount in read-only?
Have you tried going via the application and select "Mount in Read-only mode"?
It works for me.
Is there an official reply from Apple about this issue on the latest Catalina update that does not allow us to mount a ntfs disk?
*Tuxera nit fixers 🤦♀️
I do also believe that the update is the issue. But without an official word from Apple we are in the doubt.
NTFS for Mac seems to work with USB 4 and 5 TB hardrives (Seagate), but not with my Sandisk 128 or 256 gB thumb drives formatted earlier in NTFS format. They were OK only a few weeks ago.
Another thing . . . works on my 2018 Macbook Pro running Monterey, but not on my 2012 Macbook Air 11" running Catalina 10.15.7.
I hope that Apple did not do this difference of update between 2012 Mac and 2018 Mac to force the owner of old 2012 Mac to buy new Mac!!!
Someone has claimed today on a Paragon support group that Apple has now released update 2022-004, but I cannot find any evidence of this.
Sorry....my Seagate hard disk is formated as exFAT, naturally it works. The NTFS hard disks DO NOT.
I thought of doing so but, for whatever reasons, Paragon suggested it was not a good idea to do so. Perhaps they were concerned of the security implications...
Yeah, I get that but to me right now being able to read/'write to several NTFS drives is more important than having the latest security update installed.
I have the same problem. I'm a Chinese by the way. I can't search anything about this here.
What about the patch 2022-004… does it solve the problem of patch 2022-003!
2022-004 is released? My Mac os is Catalina, the lastest is 2022-003 today.
I also have Catalina but I wait for the patch that will solve the issue.
will 2022-004 patch that is now available solved the issue?
