Magic Trackpad 2 lost its haptic feedback

Some background, I have been using my magic trackpad 2 for at least a year now and never left my desk once. Only recently my trackpad loses its haptic feedback. Even when I do manage to get haptic feedback back, it loses it after a few minutes in.

Does anyone who has a similar problem and has found a solution to it? I am not sure is it a hardware or software problem

Updated my MacOs to 12.3 from 12.1, hoping it might fix it but nope
