Hello, I’m using the new 9th gen iPad and still see the same problem as I experienced on iPhone 12 Pro Max and that’s on watching 60fps videos on YouTube app.
while video plays there is a small instant freeze and smoothness is lost on playback that’s only on 60fps videos(including on YouTube website via Safari). Is it an iOS issue/hardware ? any ideas ?
No app/iOS update seems to be helpful on this matter and its really annoying

I'm having this issue as well on my 2021 iPad Pro 11" and it's been driving me nuts as half the reason I bought my iPad was to binge YouTube! I'm almost sure it's a software bug as when I downloaded some 60 fps test videos from YouTube, they play flawlessly in Files, but on Safari or the YouTube app it's a stutter-fest. I'm not sure if YouTube or iOS is to blame. Fingers crossed that somebody at Apple or YouTube gets wind of the issue and it gets fixed eventually!
Have you tried deleting the YouTube app and re-installing it?
