My iPhone XR with IOS 15.3.1 wouldn’t let me open Spotify. I removed, then reinstalled the app to no avail. Spotify works well in my MacBook Pro, though. I would greatly appreciate your advise on how to proceed. Thanks

Deggie, many thanks for your support. I just found out what happened. I use a VPN and was connected to a server from my home country. I changed that to a US server and that made the trick.
Have you tried temporarily turning off WiFi in Control Center and seeing if Spotify works with cell data?
Try updating to iOS 15.4.
Check your storage to make sure you have enough free space and your internet connection.
Thank you for your reply. I updated IOS to 15.4, as suggested, then turned my phone off and on, tried to open Spotify and - again - I couldn’t make it.
I have ample space. Also, my internet connection is working properly all over my house. Thanks
