Specs: Macbook Pro 2021 16-inch.
Facetime works and the call quality is fine, but my picture is freezing when I am on a call, the recipient screen is fine, it is only my screen that freezes. It will work for a few seconds where I can see myself move and talk and then the screen will freeze for the entire duration of the call.
I have restarted the laptop and force quit and restarted the app and call.
Any advice?

Wondering if updating to MacOS 12.3 would help.

Whether your internet connection is adequate to the task.
You could try contacting your supplier, or restarting your modem.
or
Using an ethernet cable to connect to the modem may improve things
