My Facetime screen freezes

Specs: Macbook Pro 2021 16-inch.

Facetime works and the call quality is fine, but my picture is freezing when I am on a call, the recipient screen is fine, it is only my screen that freezes. It will work for a few seconds where I can see myself move and talk and then the screen will freeze for the entire duration of the call.

I have restarted the laptop and force quit and restarted the app and call.

Any advice?
