facetime on macbook air

I just purchased a macbook air today and am trying to connect my phone where i can send and receive text and calls from my computer but can only get text to work. Both text and facetime on my computer and phone says send and receive from my number and email but still wont get calls to my computer. Any help?

Check your setting on the phone to pass calls to or receive calls from your Mac.


See: Settings > Phone > Calls on other devices

In the Calls on other devices screen the 'Allow calls..." toggle should be green - indicating active

Below that, the Allow Calls On lists your devices which connect to the phone. Your Mac should be listed and the toggle needs to be green.
