Help! Can I connect an older version monitor with new MacBookPro?

Is there an adapter cord that can connect an older display with a newer macbook pro with the thunderbolt connections?

Please help...

Hi,

If your MacBook Pro has Thunderbolt3(USB-C), and an old monitor has Thunderbolt2 port, USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter could connect your MacBook Pro to an old monitor.
