I saved snippets of videos I'm playing on my M1 MacBook Pro. When I use the short cut keys (shift+cmd+5) to record the video, it is saved to my Downloads folder. I then drag and drop it to a journal app. I discovered that the saved video has no sound. I did before and now it isn't recording the sound. Anyone have the same experience and most of all, the solution?

Thank you for your assistance. The video does not play anywhere. Preview, Quicktime or Journal app. BUT, I figured out my problem. It turns out that when I moved from my iMac to my MacBook Pro, the default for the microphone under options was set to None. Once I selected the MBP microphone for the option, the video sound was turned on. Unfortunately, the previous videos will not have sound when played back anywhere.

Does the sound work when you play the video through Preview? Does the issue only happen when you move the video to the Journal app? If the issue only occurs when you move the video to the Journal app, we recommend contacting the app developer for assistance:
