iPhone Antenna

Is Apple actually fixing the internal antenna problem so that new future iPhones delivered do not have the same problem? And when will that happen?

how many people really do video calls myself.

I do, I do! That is the reason I bought two. 🙂 Every call to my wife that is possible, is facetime. Family plan, one phone was fully subsidized (32/300), second was an early upgrade (32/500). But I sold my 3GS and 3G on ebay, and had a few $ left over.

I can't say I'm surprised by the fact that these threads are still popping up. Most of the time it's people just wanting to stir up stuff, but I'll bite and feed the troll as well.

If you don't like your current iPhone and you are still within the 30 days, go and take it back. It's that simple.
As Alan has already mentioned, noone in their right mind will buy a phone of this design and not put a case on it (can't wait for the iPhone 4 Otterboxes to be available myself!). So the antenna design would be a non issue.
I will be receiving my second iPhone 4 in the next few days. I actually had to send my first one back because it had issues other then the deathgrip ones.

And to the person who said that the iPhone 4 is bigger.. it might be heavier by a small margin, but it's actually much less bulky then the 3G/3GS.

I read this and don't understand. If the product is malfunctioning, return it for an exchange or refund. There is no way Apple would intentionally release junk. But I bet there are units that have these issues. Mine doesn't. I use it in a fringe reception area all day. You have a bad unit, Return it for a good one. If you waited past the 30 days then call Apple Care. You have a year. It has a warrantee. Use it. These phone are great and there is no reason you should not have a great one. With the millions produce in mass production there are bound to be flaws and someone is bound to end up with a flawed one. They can't keep the price this low and hand check each phone.
My feeling is there were some initial production issues that they fixed but there are some phones out there that are not up to par. I am also sure that they most efficient way for Apple to get these particular phones fixed is on a case by case basis. Meaning that the customers that were unlucky enough to get one should follow procedure and return it. Apple will get the phones back and fix them. Simple. Complaining will not help. Just return it.
Yes it is a hassle and doesn't seem fair but seriously, when is life fair?
