Iphone constantly going to spinning wheel and lock screen

My iPhone XS max keeps having this spinning wheel and going to the lock screen, and then sometimes the spinning wheel appears and the screen gets dark, the phone is on and I hear notification sound but can not see anything. How do I fix this?

Hello Kortu231,

You can use these steps if your iPhone has a frozen screen:

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
An animation of an iPhone with arrows pointing to the volume up button, then to the volume down button, and then to the side button.

4. If your phone doesn't turn on, follow these steps to check your hardware and charge your phone. You might need to charge for up to an hour.
5. If your phone still doesn't turn on, contact Apple Support.

You can see these steps in this article: If your iPhone won't turn on or is frozen

You might also check your iPhone storage. If your storage is running low you might experience the sort of issue you're describing. Here is how this is done: How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Best Regards.
