My niece was playing with my iPhone13 and now there is a grey rectangle at the bottom of my welcome screen. What did she do? How do I remove it? Thank you in advance!
Try a forced restart.
• Press and quickly release the volume up button
• Press and quickly release the volume down button
• Press and hold the side button.
• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Can you please provide a screenshot of what you are seeing to better help someone understand the issue? At that point, someone should be able to identify what that is.
Thank you. That is the dock area. There should be apps there, unless you, or she removed them. Normally that is where you find the Phone app, Mail, and some others. I don't remember right now what appears there by default. See this sample image from Apple.

I don't recall having this before she played on my phone. If I am correct about the dock area, it can't be removed. Is that correct?
That is my understanding. I cannot find anywhere that you can remove that.
