Making Facetime calls overseas using local Country Code

Hi there,

So this is new, lately when im not in my home country (US +1) and im over seas. And I call a number from facetime audio it adds the country code I am currently in. This has never happened before. Is it a new update? I even changed my contacts with + country code number with their number after... and still calls as if im calling from the current country i am. How do I fix this? Or a weird iPhone update Glitch?
