Text Message Shows In Search Results But Not In The Actual Message Thread

Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone may be able to help me with a bit of a weird text message problem I am currently having. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max running iOS 15.4. My space on this phone is 512 GB and I still have a good amount of space left (and also I have elected to keep messages forever in settings).

I have a text message thread with a non iMessage User (Android/Samsung) that has been going from early 2012 up until sometime last year. This was a very long text message thread and there were some text messages within our thread that I was trying to find between 2014 to 2018.

When I use the Search Box/Bar in the Messages App, I can start finding some relevant messages for the search term I am searching for within the text message thread with the above mentioned person.

However, when I try to click on that search result, it does not take me to the message and takes me to the most recent message instead. No worries as I eventually just went to the text message thread itself with this person and took the time to keep scrolling up and found the specific messages I wanted to look at. This was less than weeks ago.

I need to go back to those messages but whenever I go back to the text message thread with this person, I am now "missing" some of the messages. Basically I can't see what is between 2012 to 2017. The beginning of 2012 is present and late 2017 to current is present but not in between.

A quick search in the Search Bar/Box within the Messages app does indeed still bring up the search results and shows that those text messages are still there, I just can't click on them there nor can I find them within the actual text message thread anymore.

I have tried force restarting and toggling different selections on and off (such as within Search and Siri). And I never deleted the text messages. All I did was I took some screen shots but now I need to get some more screen shots of some of the other messages and can no longer see them.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help!
