Enter the Apple ID account credentials at www.icloud.com from a browser , click on iCloud Drive , single click on the folder , again double click on folder that is saved in iCloud Drive , click on download icon ( see the download icon is highlighted in the second screen shot ) , a pop up appears click on allow .

Apologies, perhaps I haven’t phrased the question well:

I have a folder- full of content- on my iCloud which I would like to download onto my local on my MacBook .

How can I download in one go the whole folder including the content

Create a folder in finder > in iCloud section > under iCloud Drive it will automatically appear in iCloud.com
