Watch os 8.5 my series 7 charges slow

I've updated to watch os 8.5, and still my series 7 takes over 5 hours to charge. It was not doing this before. I’ve restarted my watch various times to no avail.

Yeah, sorry but this does NOT help.

Yea he issue is with os 8.5 not allowing the use of 3rd party chargers that are AUTHORIZED by apple.

I paid 150.00 for the belkin up 3-1 mag safe at the apple store because it was promoted BY APPLE.

now it doesn’t work. So, someone in tech department needs to follow up and look into this. Why would Apple promote and sell a product that bricks after an update?

I’m having the same issue and my problem is occurring with the Apple Watch charging puck and not a third party puck. Didn’t happen before I upgraded to watch os 8.5. Hopefully Apple puts out a fix soon.

Same here using 8.5 and the original fast charger from the box, though it has been OK since a reboot. I also am still seeing poor battery life that seems to drop gradually each day until a reboot. 45% by morning turns slowly into 20-25% with no change in how I use the watch.

I bought the Belkin charge off apples website and it no longer fast charges the watch. I hope they fix is as it should be supported since I bought it right from them!

There is a longer thread on this. Apple will have to work with Belkin to resolve this, in the meantime turn off optimized charging on your Watch and your speed will return.
