Hitting space in numbers

When trying to type in a cell while in numbers it will select the whole spreadsheet and won’t add a space between words.

I am assuming that where you say "select the whole Spreadsheet"

do you actually mean "Select all cells in the active Table"

                          or "Select the active Table"?

Does this happen with:

  • Only one specific document?
  • All documents created from the same template?
  • All documents created in Numbers?
  • Tables in documents created with other applications (eg. Pages)

Does it happen only if: you are entering text in a Cell?

OR also when you are entering text in a text box, or other container?

What do you see if you select and copy the "Does this…" line above, paste it into a new Pages document, then go to the View menu and choose Show invisibles?

Take a screen shot of the text while the invisibles are shown (in blue), and include it in your reply, or, if you're unable to post a screen shot, incude a description of the invisible characters included in that view.

Regards,

Barry
