Keynote - Screen Sharing

Hello Everyone: Here is my situation:

Computer 2 is running a Keynote presentation - the main monitor is displaying presenter mode, showing current and next slide, etc; the secondary monitor is the presentation slide display.

Computer 1 accesses the slide display image on Computer 2's secondary monitor, using the Mac Screen Sharing app.

The timing is such that the slide show on Computer 2 is already in progress when Computer 1 requests access to the secondary screen display. Permission is requested via a pop-up window which displays on Computer 2, but behind the Keynote presenter window, which is full screen. I have not found a way to see and respond to the Screen Sharing request, other than to press Esc, to exit Keynote, which stops the presentation and is not desirable.

Is there a way to be able to see Computer 2's Desktop display, including the Screen Sharing pop-up window, without interrupting the Keynote presentation e.g. minimize or resize the Keynote window, while it continues to play the slides?

Thanks. . .

You only have two choices in Keynote as things are just now, its down to you to decide which method you want

  • first set up screen sharing, then play Keynote in full screen
  • or use Play Slideshow in a Window with a reduced window size
