I have an iphone 6 S Plus. When the phone company pulls up the ime number it comes up as an iphone 8 plus. How do I get this fixed?

Hello rhsammy,

Apple Support Communities is a wonderful place for help with your iPhone. It sounds as though the IMEI number associated to your iPhone is indicating your device is an iPhone 8 Plus. The IMEI number is a device specific identifier and can't be changed. When sharing the IMEI number with your wireless carrier, are you locating the IMEI in Settings > General > About? If not, you can verify the IMEI and devices serial number there. If you're locating the IMEI number via the SIM card tray, it is possible that may have been replaced. You can find more information about locating the IMEI number and serial number in the following article.

Find the serial number or IMEI on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

You may also find the sections "iPhone 6s Plus" and "iPhone 8 Plus" of the article below helpful in verifying or identifying your iPhone model.
