hi since i updated monterey 12.3 i my mbp cannot detect my camera.
I have tried reset smc, pram safe boot etc but seems not working.
i have tried to diagnose hardware and it mention reference code: NDC001.
i dont have any problem using it before the update.
please advise.

Does the camera show up in System Information >> Camera ?
After doing the SMC Rest and still not appearing suggest follow the previous posters idea and have the computer evaluated by Apple

I would say that it is almost certainly a hardware issue. If you've got "AppleCare" and it's still in force, the repair won't cost you anything.
Problem with external cameras not being detected has been fixed in Monterey 12.4 update.
understand about the "hardware failure can be anytime".
how about all over the news that this updates 12.3 bricks logic board for some model.
and and im not the only one having the same issue here.
Another discussion file running under iMovie -"Monterey 12.3 Broke The MinI-DV Connection. According to the April 10th Post it appears to confirm an iOS Monterey 12.3 bug. Hopefully Feedback reports to Apple will result in a "bug fix".

Have seen a similar issue recently where the camera is not longer found in System Information.
They too had same question " one after the upgrade to Monterey how can this be ?
It hardware failure can occur at any time.

All of a sudden my Sony camcorder is not detected in iMovie. I first encountered the problem after Monterey 12.3 update. It does show in Hardware/Firewire. I have tried several suggestions proposed by Apple Support with no success. I also download some software other than Apple and once again the Camera was not detected. This would seem to indicate an iOS problem. I have limited experience with the Apple system and my main use is movie making with external camera input so the feature is rather critical for me. I have sent my comments to Apple as you have suggested.....Bob

Camera detection does not work since Monterey 12.3 Apple has still not acknowledged this major flaw its a main feature for editing in FCP iMovie and Quicktime Im ****** at the lack of response to this Why has it not been addressed yet!!!
