iPhone 12 mic stops working on WhatsApp calls

I have an Iphone 12 and usually work at night from home and since the day I’ve got the phone been facing an issue with Whatsapp. On whatsapp calls the mic stops working for a couple of hours and then starts working automatically and this issue is causing alot of frustration as when my seniors call and they can’t hear me and then I have to disconnect and the do a normal call

if this requires an ios update please do it or do something about it
