Adding tracks is syncing but Removing track is not

So I have 4 devices that sync my Music app library: 2 iOS devices and 2 Mac OS devices. If I add a track on any of the devices, it immediately shows up on the other 3, so no problems there, that confirms that syncing is turned on. 


However, if I delete a track on the MBP (12.3) the track remains on the MP (12.2.1) and the iOS devices. If I delete a track from the MP, it remains not he MBP and the iOS devices. If I delete the track from one of the iOS devices it will remove it from both Mac OS devices. So obviously that is my work around for now but can't understand why I can't remove content from laptop and desktop Macs and have it sync. 


This also applies to metadata updates, like rating a track, iOS rating adjustments appear to sync to Mac OS but Mac OS devices go no where beyond that device. 


Any other folks see this issue and know a fix? 


Logging out, logging in, syncing library, none of the usual troubleshooting steps that would be suggested are going to work in this instance, already tried.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities.


Just to confirm, are you an Apple Music subscriber? If so, let’s make sure that “Sync Library” is turned on for both Macs. To do that:


Open the Apple Music app.
From the menu bar at the top of your screen, choose Music > Preferences.
Go to the General tab and select Sync Library to turn it on. If you don't subscribe to Apple Music or iTunes Match, you won’t see an option to turn on Sync Library.
Click OK.
