How do I transfer old itunes purchases to a newer AppleID?

SSIA, but just in case you need further clarification:

I bought several things with an old AppleID that I lost in a divorce (haha) and now want to watch those movies, but they're not letting me because it says I'm not authorized by that account. As far as I know, that account no longer exists. 99% sure my ex doesn't use it as it combines both our names.
